Tianfeng Securities: The rapid development of artificial intelligence is expected to give rise to the customized SoC    market

Tianfeng Securities research report believes that with the development of AI chip demand, market demand will be more diversified, and most of the solutions provided by traditional SoC are very different, and it is difficult to meet all needs through a general SoC chip. By integrating functional components to achieve miniaturization, lower power consumption and lower costs, manufacturers can integrate value (functionality) into the SoC to achieve customer product differentiation.

Nvidia: Data center product demand visibility has been extended for several quarters

Nvidia CFO Colette Kress said on the earnings call that the channel inventory adjustment should be over. The company's data center product demand visibility has stretched for several quarters, and growth drivers are coming from multiple sources, as cloud service providers, consumer networking companies, and enterprise customers look to implement generative AI into their businesses as quickly as possible. Marvell Technology announced its fiscal 2024 first quarter (ended April 29, 2023) earnings on Thursday after the U.S. stock market closed, with revenue down 9% to $1.322 billion,  and revenue for the second quarter of fiscal 2024 (ended July 29, 2023) expected to reach $1.33 billion, plus or minus 5%. CEO Matt Murphy pointed out that AI has become a key growth driver at Marvell, and expects AI-related product revenue in fiscal 2024 to at least double that of 2023, and continue to grow rapidly in the next few years.

TrendForce: Global DRAM chip demand is expected to exceed supply as early as July

TrendForce reported that global DRAM chip demand is expected to outpace supply as early as July, a change that will ease pressure on semiconductor companies struggling with the chip downturn. In addition, global DRAM demand is expected to exceed 105.4 billion 2GB chips this year, exceeding the estimated supply of 104.3 billion chips.
